This hike, plus time to view the arch, takes most people 2 to 3 hours. To get to Delicate Arch, it is a 3-mile moderately strenuous round-trip hike. There are restrooms next to the trailhead if you need one. There is also overflow parking on the right hand side of the road if it is very crowded. Save the overlooks, Balanced Rock, Park Avenue, and the Windows for the afternoon, when the lighting will be better for photos. But I recommend getting to the Devils Garden Trail early, before it gets crowded. I totally get it and I remember being awestruck by the beauty here on my very first visit. One Day in Arches National Park Itinerary.

This took us about an hour total, including stopping for photos. There are also a couple other arches you can access off this trail. The trail does become primitive and continue on however, we turned here. You can get a view of the arch from the top of a hill, but I recommend walking down it and into the sand by the fence to get a closer look at it. Maybe between easy and moderate? It's about 1.8 miles round trip. There is some up and down on this trail, but I would not call it difficult. There were other people on the trail, but I would not call it crowded and there were several times we were the only people in view.

If you're here in the summer, I can't emphasize enough how important it is to go out early. It was already getting warm, but there was actually quite a bit of shade on this trail, unlike most in the park. We made a bee line for this area first thing in the morning and began the hike no later than 7 AM in July. You access Landscape Arch via the Devils Garden Trail all the way at the end of the park.
